This week at the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, President Obama agreed with world leaders that “a legally binding deal on climate change would be impossible to achieve at the U.N. summit on global warming in Copenhagen next month,” according to an article on Time Magazine.
Is this the bold leadership on climate change we were promised?
Join us Thursday in the Plaza of the Americas (next to the Krishna Lunch lines) to call President Obama and tell him that delaying a global climate agreement is unnacceptable, and that we want bold action against climate change now.
It will only take a minute of your time to ask Obama to:
1. Meet with youth leaders who are working on the ground across the country to protect our future
2. Address the country with a public speech on climate and energy that outlines specific domestic and international goals
3. Attend the International Climate Negotiations in Copenhagen in person so he can lead in creating a fair, binding, and ambitious deal on curbing carbon emissions.
We are hosting this mass call-in as part of the ongoing Power Shift campaign. Visit: http://itsgametimeobama.org/
